SCS Release 3.0 achieves General Availability
The latest release of SCS (Release 3.0) was launched mid 2009. Significant enhancements included:
- Increased capacity, and improved multisite deployment capabilities, allowing SCS to scale from the SMB market into large distributed enterprise environments.
- Integrated SIP trunking to eliminate the requirement for an external Session Boarder Controller, reducing the cost of deployment and increasing the simplicity.
- Expanded choice of clients and supported IT servers with support for Nortel's SIP-based 1200 Series IP phones and the IBM x3350 server for larger enterprise deployments.
- Increased simplicity in management and administration
